PACK WALKS​​​

The perfect combination of exercise and socialization! Derby Dogs provides several outings per day with pick up windows between 12-2pm and 2:30-4:30pm depending on which package you sign up for. We pick up and drop off your pup(s) from your home or office and take them to a local/regional park and drop them back off afterwards. Our pack walks are one full hour of off leash hiking combined with open play sessions. We find that walking fulfills a dog's need to be part of a "traveling pack" and play sessions give them the chance to wrestle, run and retrieve! We use balanced training methods including positive reinforcement as well as sound diversion and body blocks to redirect unwanted behavior. We also establish clear leadership so the dogs do not feel the need to compete. As a result, our pack LOVES to spend time together.​​

Pack Walk Pricing (minimum commitment is 3x/week):
3 walks per week: $500 per month (approx $40/walk)
4 walks per week: $664 per month (approx $40/walk)
5 walks per week: $787 per month (approx $38/walk)

Discount available for multi-dog homes. Pack members must be current on routine shots (DHPP, Rabies & Bordetella) or titer tested. Dogs over 18 months must be spayed/neutered (some exception for working dogs).​​​​
PARTIAL DAYCARE​​
Does your dog need more exercise and time out of the house? Double it up for double the fun! ​Partial Daycare includes 2 pack walks, we pick up your dog during the earlier walk window and drop them back off after the later walk. On average, they will be out with us for approximately 5 hours. Partial Daycare is $70-$74 based on their weekly schedule and can be combined with single pack walks.​​​​​

We service Berkeley, Albany, Kensington, El Cerrito and North Oakland.
We do not service apartmemts with limited parking/indoor garages.
BOARDING​
​
Derby Dogs provides boarding in our home for all dogs actively situated on our pack walks. We also offer boarding for small/medium dogs (up to ∼65lbs) not on pack walks who are socialized with people and comfortable around dogs of all sizes. While in boarding, your pup will enjoy lots of play time, cozy lounging in our living room as well as tons of affection! Establised pack members will go on all pack walks while in boarding. For non pack members, hikes or neighborhood leash walks will be provided in addition to back yard play time.​

​We require proof of current Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP or a Titer test. Dogs over 18 months must be spayed/neutered (some exceptions for working dogs who are current pack members).

PUPPY SERVICES

Derby Dogs has raised over a dozen puppies including our own, as well as clients and fosters. We thoroughly enjoy this stage of a dog’s life. They are enthusiastic, curious, playful and also quite a bit naughty!🤣 This is the best time to create a roadmap for your new companion. Think about the things that will be important for your dog to accept and enjoy based on your own interests and lifestyle. Will they spend much time in public settings with strangers? Will there be kids in their lives? Do you plan to take them on road trips and want them to enjoy car rides? The best time to introduce them to these things is when they are a puppy. Derby Dogs can introduce your pup to dog saavy people, kids, puppies and also adult dogs who know how to teach puppies to respect older dogs appropriately. We can also introduce your puppy to new experiences and environments in a way to build confidence.
